Old Testament Workbook Volume Two (of Two) Product Details

This workbook covers the last twenty five books of the Old Testament. Each lesson in this workbook is organized with notes and questions. The questions are all addressed in the notes for that lesson. Many of the Books of the Old Testament are divided into chapters for the purpose of this workbook.

These lessons are a great way to learn about God’s word in depth and are suitable for any serious student. The material is appropriate for advanced high school, college, and adult use. This workbook is suitable for use in Church Bible Classes, College and University courses, and Bible studies. The lessons in this volume were developed for, and used in, a classroom environment for over two years.

In the study of the Psalms, this material follows a curriculum outline designed to reflect certain themes. For that reason, the Psalms have been grouped into these themes. As a consequence, although many Psalms are covered,  not every Psalm is covered here. Without exception, every other book is covered in its entirely in these lessons.

All major sources, including the Hebrew text from both Septuagint and Masoretic sources, have been consulted in preparing these lessons. For both translation and transliteration purposes, preference has been given, in order, to the following: the Christian Standard Bible (CSB), the King James Version (KJV), and the English Standard Version (ESV). Unless otherwise stated, the version of the bible used is the Christian Standard Bible (CSB).

The abbreviations (KJV, ESV and CSB) are used to indicate the translation used anytime a direct quotation for scripture is used, except if a single word (for example “light” or “faith”) appears in quotation marks.

Songs are referenced about a dozen times in this workbook. Each time, the lyrics, music and copyright holder are listed. Please note that copyright holders occasionally change.
